A space that feels like home but better. Where your table is always set, the coffee is always fresh, and someone remembers the rules so you don’t have to.

THAT’S ONE BAM BIRD.

One Bam Bird is more than a game studio. It’s a love letter to connection, community, and generations past. A space that’s undeniably feminine, stylish, cozy, and just a little bit magical. Mostly, One Bam Bird is a place where you know that it really really mattered that you came.

Our studio in Minnetonka hosts up to 25 people for games, lessons, leagues, book clubs, team building, showers, events and more.

When creating One Bam Bird we realized something very important: everyone deserve a place to play, laugh, learn, and connect without the stress, clutter, or chaos of everyday life.

A Note from Debra

As a child, I grew up in a home where the clicking of mahjong tiles was the background music in my living room. My mom played. My grandma played. I’m guessing her grandma played, too. The ladies would gather for games and lunch, exchange a few quarters and say goodbye until the next meet up.

What I never anticipated as a kid was just how much I would grow to love and appreciate it for so much more than a game of tiles and cards.

I’ve spent my career building businesses, advising others, and occasionally getting lost in spreadsheets. But nothing brings me more joy than gathering people around a table, watching friendships grow, and celebrating the little victories (yes, even when someone calls mahjong on a concealed hand).

All of these experiences have led me to One Bam Bird. Because at the end of the day, the one thing I’m pretty darn good at is making people feel like it mattered that they came.

When I’m not consulting, cooking, or serving the community, I am somewhere deep in the joyful chaos at home with my husband Alex, our three kids, and our stupidly affectionate dog Poppy. I’m a big believer in coffee with heavy cream, shared meals, and the NYT crossword and have a strong track record of being asleep on the couch by 8:15.
